The last words of the thief on the Cross from Luke chapter 23 have much to teach us concerning God's way and plan of salvation. Here was a man who could offer nothing to God, who had no opportunity to correct past wrongs nor to try harder for a better tomorrow. The thief on the cross lacked even the opportunity of baptism and church membership and yet for him the guarantee was given; 'this day shall you be with me in paradise.'
