The value of a Son The Plight of a Soul The Passion of our God - The Prodigal Returns - Luke chp 15 - JS Gillespie

It may seem vague and open ended, nameless and timeless, Christ meant it so to be. Fit yourself into the parable of the prodigal son in Luke chapter 15. Fit yourself into the pride and entitlement of the man. Fit yourself into the wasted life. Fit yourself into the disappointment of a world found empty. Fit yourself into the friendless exploitation. Fit yourself into the hungering emptiness. Fit yourself into the bitter regret. Most of all fit yourself into the realisation of a life gone terribly wrong, wrecked inside, sending shockwaves through family and friends and realise that ultimately the rebellion is against God and the sin is before heaven. Feel the emptiness and the brokenness and then turn. Turn to the one you have insulted and sinned against. Turn and return to your God. His heart is bigger than your hell, His arms wider than the breadth of you despair.
