The despair of brokenness, sin and the demonic leads us into the true living dead, a life lived with the ultimate prospect of death, the grave and eternal loss. Only a glimpse of the glory of Jesus Christ can save a man from such despair. The demon possessed man of the Gadarenes, consigned to the fellowship of the entombed, bound, broken and self destroying is very much a picture of where some are and where we all could be. Some experience what many suspect that just beneath the surface of polite civilisation and the reassuring appearance of normality a spiritual battle rages. Our world is an in between place. A land between heaven and hell. Some are able to convince themselves that all is well with the world, but our world is the place where souls sell out to Satan, a place where the demonic rooms and the oppressive presence of the pit influences the minds and souls of men. Only Jesus is able to extend a grace sufficiently powerful to deliver the person from possession by the powers of Evil. Glimpse the Glory of the Divine in the Son of God and rest in His power to deliver and save.
