Our study tour of the seven churches of Revelation brings us to the church at Sardis. Sardis pictures the church of the reformation, which has a name that it lives and yet is dead. Like the city of Sardis around it, the church seems to be living in the light of past glory and like the fall of Sardis to Cyrus the great, it has let it's guard down and is unprepared for the coming again of Christ.
